We are collectiong entries of other Linux user groups in Switzerland. If you have founded such a group write us.

In order for your group to qualify for an entry in this list, you do not need to fulfill a lot of preconditions. Just care about Linux and send us a short notice which we can include into this page.

If you need help in founding a Linux user group contact our board of directors.

Lists of Linux user groups

Linux Online has a world list of Linux user groups (entry for Switzerland). There is a seperate home page for Linux User Groups Worldwide. There is an entry for Switzerland aswell.

Zurich

The one and only real Section of the Linux User Group Switzerland. We have at this moment about 380 members, but not all are from the region of Zurich.

We are in contact with /ch/open: the members of the LUGS are welcome to join the Business Lunches.

About Gnus and Penguins is an independent group of people interested in free and opensource software and culture. Because it is boring to do this things alone (and because its totaly inappropriate - free software is social software), we organize meetings, some of them with talks, workshops and so on. Our meetings are open to all people interested in FOSS.

Winterthur

There is a periodiacal Linux meeting at Winterthur since April 12, 1999. It's worth to visit such a meeting if possible. Above all, because its free, not binding and you don't need to announce your coming.

Zentralschweiz

The LUGS meeting in central Switzerland is a possibility for LUGS members living in central Switzerland to meet at regular intervals. It does not claim to be an alternative to the meetings in Zurich, but rather a supplement. Besides LUGS members, non-members are welcome as well.

Ticino

TILUG is the Ticino Linux User Group, born in 2004 to bring all the Linux fans of Ticino together
